Festival of Quilts Favorites

Hello all,

here are my favorite quilts from the Festival of Quilts last week, not only from the official display but also some quilts displayed on some of the stands. I can't decide what my absolute favorite it. Maybe the echo quilt, or Marianne's gorgeous QAYG project. What is your favorite quilt?

I hope you like them.

Festival of Quilts goodies

Hello all,

I know the FoQ is still on so I won't tell you everythign about it or show you pictures of the amazing quilts on display. But what i can do is show you the gorgeous fabrics I bought. I know, I didn't want to buy much at all, I was hoping to get some Tula Pink "Birds and th bees" fabrics but there weren't any. But I just couldn't resist these lovelies.

2 layer cakes, Tula Pink's "Prince Charming" and Valori Well's "Cocoon"

and check out these gorgeous fabrics depicting movie and rock stars (home dec)

What do you think? I love these and will now have to find a new home for them.

For those of you still going to the FoQ have a great time and try to keep your money tight, it's so easy to start spending and realise you're broke at the end of the day. :)

Lots of love,
Nadine

Finally. The Plushies are certified!

Hurrah, I have finally finished the certification and have all my files and test results in order. This now means my plushies carry the CE mark to show they comply with toy safety regulations. I have relisted some Odd Owls, Peculiar Penguins and Merry Matryoshkas in the shop and it looks so much better.

Here are a few new penguins and matryoshkas. I hope you like them.

And go chekc out the shop and let me know if you like the way I ordered it: http://www.etsy.com/shop/QuiltedBlissByNadine

Let me know what you think.
Lots of love,
Nadine

New solids quilt

I have been determined to make more solids quilts rather than just using solids mixed in with patterned fabrics. I have made 3 solids quilts so far and rally love this one. Originally sort of inspired by the Amy Butler solids quilt you can find here, but I tried to make a bit different and really like the result. It almost looks quite retro, sort of 60s 70s style. I wish I could afford the Kona Bounty of Basics box with lots of solids FQ but it's just a bit out of my price range, especially since I will need to buy a new machine soon. Oh well, my current stash will just have to do.

As usual I used orange fleece on the back and quilted in large wavy lines.

I love this one, what do you think?

... and even MOOOOOORE quilts

Hello all,
I promised some more quilts and here they are. The next 2 finished quilts. (I had these waiting to be photographed for ages, but finally the sun came out for a bit.)

This one is made with some Happier Riley Blake fabrics, which I love, and I used some olive green fleece on the back for snuggly cuddliness.

And a baby quilt made with some Tradewinds by Lily Ashbury for Moda.  A gorgeous line, I am currently working on a QAYG project using the whole line, so watch this space.

So what do you think of these? I have 3 more quilts to show you, so keep an eye on the blog and the Facebook page.

Lots of love,
Nadine
