GIVEAWAY: One woman's trash, another woman's treasure

Ok, it's time to face the facts. I have spent an insane amount of money on fabric over the last few months (well documented here on the blog), but my determination to use up all the old fabric before cutting into the new means I won't be able to work with the beautiful new lines in the next few ... ahem, years (as the handsewing is taking me forever).

So, the best (only?) quick fix solution to the problem is to get rid of the old to start working with the new. (believe me, I am normally not the type to throw out things. so I rather give them to a crafty new home.)

Besides, August is my birthday month and what better way to start celebrating than to draw

THREE WINNERS on Sunday the first of August.

Each of the 3 winners will receive 3 of the nine scrap bags you can see in this post (3 is my lucky number, in case you were wondering), some very cohesive fabrics that go together and some just full of random bits and offcuts. Most of the bags contain different amounts and some quite a lot of fabric. Some even enough for a small quilt.

And as I am feeling slightly neglected in BLOGLOVE I am only asking you to become a follower of mine and post a comment telling me about it (or post a comment telling me you already are a follower, and I love you all, my minions.)

Oh, how exciting, my first giveaway.

  6. Nadine, I can totally relate to feeling neglected as far as bloglove - I only have 11 followers! But I, for one, love you and your blog! I also love the 6th and 7th pics of your scraps the best, in case you were wondering
:-). And your idea of giving away scraps is a wonderful idea, especially as I love scrappy quilts. And you will be glad to know I sent out my first Pay it Forward on Monday! Yaay! Except only two people signed up so I have to look for one more. So that's a lot of love sent your way - can you feel it??? Hope so!

  9. I'm already a follower. And since I've been on a batik buying binge this year, your scraps would add some variety to my stash.

  10. Thanks for posting about this giveaway! I've become a follower. I love finding new sewing blogs to follow :) And you've got quite an impressive scrap pile... sadly, my own is quite itty bitty. I'm doing what ladmquilter is doing and making tons of hexies in addition to making a cathedral window quilt. I need quite a bit of variety!
