Tufted Tweets ideas, anyone?

Now, I do 't know if you saw my post about joining Fabricaholics Anonymous, but I am now determined to use my stash.

Despite having several quilts to finish, some just to quilt but other to finish piecing and basting too, so despite that I went and pulled out one of the first full collection bundles I ever bought online, and that's Tufted Tweets by Laurie Wisbrun.

So I have now pulled out all the coordinating Kona Solids but can't decide what design to go for. I really love the 2 patterns featured on the Robert Kaufman website but I don't just want to copy that design, I'd like to use something different.

I do think these fabrics suit themselves to long rectangle pieces, the fabric pattern is too big for triangles for instance, and I think they need to be framed by white as the fabrics right next to each other without a solid next to them looks too busy.

But what could I do with them. Maybe some sort of chevron pattern? Or some sort of strip quilt?

Any suggestions?

Nadine

  1. Sorry, no helpful inspiration here, but very envious of the bottom three in purples!

  3. The Alison Glass Feathers QAL has just begun and it strikes me that these would suit it beautifully.
