Merry Christmas

Hello all,

I am so sorry for neglecting you so, but it has been a busy few months. We are now settled in the new house, a few more boxes to unpack and a pile of stuff to put in the loft. There will be lots of stuff we'll have to do in the new year. The garden needs some work for instance and our oven needs repairing. Money has been tightbut not so tight that I could not treat myself to some lovely fabrics for Christmas. :)

We also participated at another craft fair in town at the Cityscreen Basement. We only sold a few small items. Once again our stand wasn't quite as successful as we had hoped, but that's ok. We had a good time anyway and enjoyed the social aspect of it.

I wish you all a lovely Christmas and a happy new year and I promise I'll post more often. I will have to show you my gorgeous new craft room. :)

Merry Christmas.
Love,
Nadine

Advent Calendars

Hello all,

yep, your eyes are not betraying you, it's almost CHRISTMAS. I have just finished 4 Advent Calendars and have listed them in the shop. Last year I was quite late in finishing my advent calendars and they sold like hotcakes, and this years' calendars are even nicer than last years'. But as most of them might go to the US I have to take into consideration that they take up to 3 weeks to arrive and obviously they need to be there in time for the 1st of December. I have listed them now and the listings will expire on 25 December, so perfect timing really.

What do you think? Do you like them? Have you started early in planning for the holidays or working on holiday related items?

Personalisation for quilts

Hello all,

I have promised this for some time and finally got around relisting the personalisation option for all quilts in the Etsy shop. I used to have it when I still appliqueed by hand but am now listing it as a machine applique personalisation. I have had to do quite a few for customers but also friends and family and I hope it will be popular.

Scraps Giveaway

Hello all,

It's time for a little Giveaway. I have put together 3 bags of scraps in many sizes, from small squares to larger pieces and even some pieces that are already sewn together. In total this would probably make about 2 quilts. One bag is mainly greens, blues and yellows. The second bag is browns and beige fabrics and the last bag is a mixture of all sorts of colors and styles.

To win these scraps just leave a comment telling me what's your favorite fabric collection at the moment.

I will draw a winner on Wednesday.

Lots of love and happy crafting.
Nadine

Free Plushie with every quilt

Hello everyone,

oh I do apologize for the prolonged silence, it has been frantic and we still do not know what is happening with the house. The seller is being a b**** and is not making any commitments at all. We have no idea whether we can buy the house or not and if so when we can move in. And we have already invested so much money in it, the surveys and the solicitors, this is money we won't get back. We have also been decluttering and trying to get things in order. We are also so so soooooooo frugal eating just dried foods from the cupboard in order to save money and make some room. It is all very frustrating.

And in order to make some more room I have decided to give away a FREE Plushie with every sold quilt.

So if you are thinking of buying a quilt for someone or you think you might need one later on in the year, well do it now while you get a free plushie with the quilt. I do not know how long I will keep this offer on.

So here is a little reminder of some of the plushies I have. I hope you like them.

Best wishes and please keep your fingers crossed for us, we were really looking forward to finally owning our own (albeit very small) home.

Love, Nadine

Phewww, 9 more finished quilts (Fresh Sewing Day)

Hello all,
soooo sorry for the neglect, but it's been a bit crazy here. We are in the process of buying a house, our first house, and it is stressing me out so much. I can barely sleep at night. everythign was going well (with a pretty difficult seller mind you) until she decided she wanted to postpone the sale for 3 to 6 months. This completely threw us, we have already invested £1500 in fees, surveys etc and as first time buyers we just can't afford to lose that money, so it's a bit of a waiting game now. Well, anyway it has been stressful. And what do I do when I am stressed out? I quilt.

So tada, I have finished 9 quilting projects (plus 3 cushions, which I will show you in another post). I hope you like these. They are all in the shop and I am currently working on my first advent calendars. I want to get them ready in good time before people start buying holiday items.

But here are the quilts. Let me know what you think. And go and check out the other lovely projects on the Fresh Sewing Day post on Lily's Quilts.

Lots of love,
Nadine
