and welcome to all you lovely guests who made it over here from Amy's Bloggers' Quilt Festival. Please mingle and say hello (and maybe stay and become a follower even, that would be great :)
Today I am sharing my finished Bookshelf Quilt with you, pheeewww, only took me a few months, but it was worth it, I absolutely adore it and will think really hard whether I can bear to put it in the Etsy shop. It's a generous lap quilt size of 48" x 58".

This is another reversible quilt with Kaffe Fasset fabrics on the top and the Tradewindows quilt on the back made with Tradewinds fabric by Lily Ashbury for Moda. This quilt is another Quilt-as-you-go project like several of my other quilts too.
I love the result, I could never quilt so densely if I had to quilt the whole quilt. Even on my new machine (yay!) it will take me lots and lots of practice until I can Free Motion Quilt a whole quilt like that.
I am participating in Amy's Blogger's Quilt Festival again so go and have a browse through all the other amazing blogs. Will have to go pop over and snoop around all those lovely blogs myself.
Lots of love from York,
Nadine xx
Oh my goodness! That is so reversible! Love both sides.
ReplyDeleteLove the books, and love the other side too! How clever. Something to add to my list of things to try...
ReplyDeleteBoth sides are fantastic! Thanks for sharing!
ReplyDeleteWhat a great quilt! It does look great on both sides!
ReplyDeleteVery beautiful and I love books! This would be great for my friend at the library!
ReplyDeleteNow this is a truly reversible quilt! Love the colours and both sides complement each other really good.
ReplyDeleteI love the subtle rainbow order in this quilt! Nicely done! And double sided? Awesome!
ReplyDeleteWonderful! I love making the backs of my quilts as atractive as the fronts so this is very much to my liking. I've never understood why people lovingly cut and piece the front of a quilt then throw whatever they can find (usually, it seems, with little thought) on the back so they can quickly get it quilted. Yours is terrific! Two quilts for the work of one. Lovely!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful! Both sides. :-)
ReplyDeleteI love the subtle rainbow effect you've created; it has so much depth!
ReplyDeleteOooh its lovely -I like to do reversible quilts too due to being addicted to making them and short on space! Thanks for sharing. #263
